The Chozen Generation Ministry is a ministry for youth of the digital generation (Z-Generation). This is the generation the communicates at digital speed through cell phones, text messaging, email, FaceBook, Myspace, Youtube and other information age means.
It is a ministry of the North Louisiana Old Line Association, based in Monroe, LA but serving youth from across the nation.
The Lord placed a calling for youth ministry on the heart of The Reverend James Earl Jackson in the summer of 2007 to begin a youth ministry for young people of this generation. The association of churches approved his recommendation of Roosevelt Wright, Jr., pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church to devise the program and put it in place for 2008.
A large group of youth leaders met in August of 2007 to formulate a year round youth ministry for churches in four areas: Fellowship, Discipleship, Mission, and Evangelism. A smaller group of volunteers met to reduce the ideas to a working program for each participating church.
The ministry provides a program of training for church youth leaders, curriculum materials for youth departments, and a year round program schedule which includes bible based tournament, retreats, musicals and other gatherings.
The goal of the ministry is to strengthen the local youth department with the assistance of the Z-Generation Ministry by providing training and leadership in the area of youth development.
