College Prep Workshop Held at Tabernacle

A workshop for High School Jrs and Srs. was held on Saturday August 22, 2009 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church Church. Information was given to 26 students who participated in the workshop.

The information they received concerned applying for scholarship, the importance of the ACT exam and college prep information. The workshop was hosted by Tabernacle. Packets were prepared for all participants that included school materials, college information and ACT testing dates among other things.

Churches participating in the workshop were: St. Mary, Tried Stone, Progressive, Zion Springs, Tabernacle and St. Luke.

Back to School Seminar held at Zion Spring

A back to school seminar was held for three days at Zion Springs for Z-Generation churches August 12-13, 2009. Participants learned about abstinance and the dangers of drugs. They participated in sessions led by medical professionals designed to educate them on teen related school issues.

The workshop ended with a special worship Sunday morning with a sermon by The Reverend Boatner.

Zion Spring participants received book bags and supplies

Churches participating in the workshop were: Tabernacle, Faith Harvest, Solomon Temple, China Grove and Zion Spring.
